About Dr. Nghiem Doan

Dr. Doan’s personal commitment to patients is to offer the best in modern dentistry.

Dr. Doan received his dental degree from the University of Queensland in 1988 and his multiple postgraduate education from several universities in different parts of the world:-

• Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the world renown Eastman Dental Institute, University of London (1998);
• Public Health (2000);
• Postgraduate PhD Research and Oral Surgery Registrar from the University of Queensland (1999-2000);
• Conscious Sedation and Pain Management from University of Sydney (2003);
• PhD Student (2009-) at the Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation, Queensland University of Technology.

He has multiple Specialist Registrations in different jurisdictions of Australia: Oral Surgery (NSW) Public Health Dentistry (Community Dentistry) (Qld, Vic); Conscious Sedation (Qld).

As a dental specialist, Dr. Doan restricts his practice to his specialties at his private dental clinics in Brisbane. Apart from the above institutes, Dr Doan also carried out collaboration research at Fujian Medical University, China.

Academically, Dr Doan was a PhD student and a registrar in Oral Surgery at the University of Queensland Dental School, a former senior lecturer (title holder) at Griffith University, School of Dentistry and Oral Health (2007-2009), a visiting Fellow and a PhD student at IHBI –QUT as well as a final candidate of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeon.

For the last 10 years, he has been given seminars/lectures for numerous dental implant companies. He has been invited to give lecturers in a number of dental conferences both locally and internationally on the surgical and regenerative aspects of Implant Dentistry and Public Health Dentistry. He has published numerous papers and abstracts on international refereed journals.

In addition, Dr. Doan has placed and been involved with thousands of dental implants and he is continually searching for new and innovative techniques to improve implant dentistry.
